The CKS Racial Justice Working Group's next event is a discussion about the caste system in the United States based on the illuminating conversation between author Isabel Wilkerson and Rabbi Angela Buchdahl in the video below. Wilkerson is the author of Caste: The Origins of Our Discontents, which explores the impact of the American caste system and its connections to the caste systems in India and Nazi Germany. Rabbi Buchdahl is the Senior Rabbi at New York's Central Synagogue and the first Asian-American person to be ordained as cantor or rabbi in North America. Listen to their conversation and then join us for an informal discussion on Wednesday, May 5.
