A CLOSE-KNIT COMMUNITY
Congregation Kehilat Shalom is a welcoming Reconstructionist congregation dedicated to serving the spiritual, educational, and cultural needs of a diverse community, while also maintaining a unique and vibrant presence in Central New Jersey.
CKS was born around a kitchen table with four families in 1982. We've grown considerably since then, and remain a synagogue community where people know and care about each other.
WE EMBRACE DIVERSITY
All are welcome at our egalitarian congregation. Our membership includes a variety of Jewish backgrounds, and many of our households are interfaith. We are comprised of all ages, genders, races, sexual orientations, and abilities.
