Tashlich and Shofar Service
Saturday, September 19, 2020 • 1 Tishrei 5781
6:00 PM - 7:00 PMTashlich literally means "cast away" and is a ritual performed on Rosh Hashanah as a physical reminder of the human effort to cast away one's sins. By casting crumbs of bread or rice paper into the water, we state our intention to return to our true selves. Through tashlich, we use our bodies and actions to do the work of return.
This service takes place around sundown so that we can include the shofar service. It will be available in person (socially distanced; masks required; weather dependent).
The location will be by a body of water, and will be emailed to all members and registrants on Thursday, September 17.
Sorry, Registration has ended.
