The Torah of Money

Rabbi’s Tisch, Discussion and Pot-Luck Dinner
The Torah of Money:  Occupy Wall Street and Jewish Values

Friday, November 18, 2011, 6:30 PM

As growing numbers of protesters take to the streets across the country to protest corporate greed and other societal ills, what lessons can we learn from Jewish tradition that can help us sort through our own values on these complex issues?  Come and share your views over Shabbat dinner, and learn about the Jewish take on profit, debt, business practices, and society’s obligation to care for the needy.

(*The “Rabbi’s Tisch” is originally a Hasidic custom involving discussion, singing, and refreshments.  We will be experimenting with this format as an alternative to traditional Friday night services on certain third Fridays.  Stay tuned for future dates and topics!)

RSVP to Robin in the office, 908-359-0420 or robin@ksnj.org.  Dinner dish should be dairy or parve (no meat, please).
