Rabbi Susan L. Falk, MA, BA, has led our congregation since August 1, 2007. Prior to joining us at Congregation Kehilat Shalom, Rabbi Falk was the Hospice Director for the Jewish Family and Children's Service of Greater Philadelphia, providing pastoral care and education to the Jewish community. While a rabbinical student, she worked as a Chaplain, taught Hebrew school, and for three years served as the student rabbi for Congregation Beth Ahavah in Philadelphia. Kate Fridkis Berring became our lay cantor in 2001, at the age of fifteen. She accompanies the rabbi in performing all B’nei Mitzvah services as well as High Holiday services. Kate has a Masters degree in religion from Columbia University. She is a columnist, blogger, and freelance writer in Brooklyn, where she lives with her husband.
Our board members serve two- or three-year terms, depending upon the position.
Volunteer members chair the various committees at our synagogue.
Our presidents are elected to two-year terms.
