Chevre/Fellow Congregants,
As we have all seen unfold over the past five days, Hurricane Harvey has become a disaster of proportions that just seem impossible to wrap one’s mind around: a record-setting 50 inches of rain in some areas, thousands and thousands of displaced residents, and sadly now, a still small but climbing number of dead. I know that many of you will want to help, so below are some organizations that you might want to donate to (the ones with urlslisted first). Let us send all our hopes and prayers – and any aid we can muster – to the people of southeastern Texas who need our help and who need the help of the whole nation.
B’Tikvah/In hope,
Rabbi Susan
